For Tutors | FAQ
_
What type of jobs do you offer?
At present, we are only able to offer contract work
through our families or families who come to us looking for
tutors. This means that we do not employ individuals to work
for us, and a majority of our work with families is on a
self employed basis. For this reason, you must ensure that
you have a relevant work permit that allows you to be self
employed.
Can you place me in full time work?
Most of our families are not looking for individuals to
work full time. However, you may be able to combine hours
with three-four families to create full time hours.
Sometimes we do get jobs that require someone to work as an
ABA shadow in a school, which is often full time and on an
employed basis. Please check our job vacancies section
frequently if you require such a position, or register with
us.
What happens after I register?
After you register, someone will contact you via email
to tell you if your registration was successful. If it was
successful, we will arrange a phone interview at a time that
suits you.
How quickly can you find me work?
It depends. Sometimes we are able to contact a family
about you right away, other times there may be a wait. We
endeavor to find you a job within 4 weeks of your interview.
Do I need a CRB check?
Yes. If you do not
have a current CRB check please let us know so we
can send you an application.
How much do ABA
tutors get paid?
Pay scales are
entirely dependent on area and experience. Tutors
who are inexperienced generally get paid £9-£12 per
hour. Experienced tutors get £13-£17 per hour and
lead therapists get upwards of £17 per hour. Please
note that you will need to negotiate your pay with
the family you are working with.
Pay is subject to
experience and qualifications. Please Email Us your
CV and cover letter. |
